Fuels react with oxygen to release energy. Complete combustionhappens in a plentiful supply of air. Incomplete combustion occurs when the supply of air is limited. Complete combustion releases more energy than incomplete combustion. Incompletecombustion also creates carbon monoxide, and more soot.
