disinfectant is a chemical liquid that destroys bacteria.

eg : alcohols, quarternary ammonium salts, formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde, bleach, chloramine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, silver dihydrogen citrate, and thymol.

Hey !!

Disinfectants these are the chemical substances which kill microorganisms or stop their growth but are harmful to human tissues.

Example :- Phenol (1%) , chlorine in concentration of 0.2 to 0.4 ppm in aqueous solution , SO₂ , etc.
