Election is the procedure by which people choose their representatives.

There are 2 types of elections practiced in India - General Elections ( common elections ) and Mid - Term elections ( By - elections)

NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES

We know that in a real democracy real choice should be provided to the people.
This only happens when there is no restrictions on anyone to contest in elections.

Any one who can be a voter should be allowed contest in the elections.

Every person who wishes to contest in elections should fill a ' nomination form ' and give some money as security deposit.

Every candidate should provide :-
) Information about any criminal case against him / her.
) Details of assets and liabilities of the candidate and his / her family .
) Educational qualifications of the candidate.

This information has to made public . This give an idea to voters how to use their vote more efficiently.
