ISOGAMY

It is form of sexual reproduction that involves with gamete of the similar morphology ( similar Shape & size) , differing in general only in allele expression in one or more mating type region. because both the gametes look same , they cannot be classified as male or female. Instead organism undergoing isomogy are said to have different mating types, most commonly noted as + & - strains. In all cases fertilisation occur when gametes of two mating types fuses to from Zygote.
