Explanation:

  • 'Membrane biogenesis' is a process which is a synthesis of the cell membrane with the help of 'proteins and lipids'. The 'endoplasmic reticulum' is responsible for the synthesis of these cell membranes.
  • Endoplasmic reticulum with the cytoplasm is formed due to lipid (SER- 'Smooth endoplasmic reticulum') and proteins (RER- 'rough endoplasmic reticulum') which are responsible for its formation.
  • The endoplasmic reticulum is found in our body to carry out its functions as 'manufacturing' and 'packaging' system.
