Micropropagation is the growing of plants from meristematic tissue or somatic cells of superior plants on nutreint suitable media under controlled aseptic physical condition.
It is used to multiply plants such as those have genetically modified or bred through conventiol plant breeding methods. It is also used to provide a sufficient number of plantlets for planting form a stock plant which does not produce seeds, or does not respond well to vegetative reproduction.
