An ordered list typically is a numbered list of items. HTML 3.0 gives you the ability to control the sequence number - to continue where the previous listleft off, or to start at a particular number. Unordered list- The UL element defines an unordered list. The element contains one or more LI elements that define the actual items of the list. Unlike with anordered list (OL), the items of anunordered list have no sequence. Menu list- One or more LI elements that cannot contain block-level elements. Contained in. APPLET, BLOCKQUOTE, BODY, BUTTON, CENTER, DD, DEL, DIV, FIELDSET, FORM, IFRAME, INS, LI, MAP, NOFRAMES, NOSCRIPT, OBJECT, TD, TH. The MENU element defines amenu list. Directory list- The <dir> element, deprecated beginning in HTML 4.01, was used to create a list of file names or the contents of a directory. An unorderedlist, created with the <ul> element, is the appropriate modern replacement for the <dir> element. The <dt> element defines a term in a descriptionlist.
