phenotype is a set of observable traits for example if you cross two types of plants there will be certain traits that can be observed for example like the length or tallness, shortness, colour etc. even in humans like the eye colour and hair colour from the parent is called phenotype that is it's the dominant trait of one of the parent that was passed down to the offspring and the offspring expresses it. there are phenotypic and genotypic ratios in different progenies hope it helps you! good luck!
