The process of accumulating or collecting water from a particular medium is called Rainwater Harvesting . Lack of drinking water worldwide is becoming a crisis. The reason for this is that the water level of the Earth is constantly going down. For this, the surplus monsoon runoff which is extracted in the ocean, it is necessary to store and recharge it, so that the development of ground water resources can be increased. India alone estimates viable groundwater storage 214 billion cubic meters (BCM) of which 160 BCM can be retrieved. One solution to this problem is water harvesting. The availability of drinking water of animals, as an alternative to crop irrigation, water harvesting system is being adopted globally. Water storage system is suitable for those places where there is a minimum of 200 mm rainfall per year. The cost of this system comes to about Rs 12 to Rs 1500 when making a new house in the 400 square unit.
