Receptors are mainly proteins or maybe glycoproteins which are able to signaling the substances (ligands). They are found in the various cells (including breast cells) on the whole body surface. They receive the signals from the substances present in the bloodstream. There are different kinds of receptors present in the body.

Photoreceptors = detect light.

Chemoreceptors = detect the chemicals.

Thermoreceptors =  detect temperature.

Mechanoreceptors = detect mechanical forces.
