Relative velocity of a body can be defined as the velocity acquired by the body with respect to other.
Suppose two bodies A and B are moving with velocity Va and Vb.
Relative velocity =root(Va²+Vb²-2VaVbCosC)
Where c is angle between the velocity of A And B.
Hope it helps you
