A material with high resistivity means it has got high resistance and will resist the flow of electrons. A material with low resistivity means it has low resistance and thus the electrons flow smoothly through the material. For example, Copper and Aluminium have low resistivity. Good conductors have less resistivity.

The SI unit of electrical resistivity is the ohm⋅metre (Ω⋅m). It is commonly represented by the Greek letter ρ, rho.

Answer:

Explanation:

1.The resistivity of a material is the resistance of a wire of that material of unit length and unit cross-sectional area.

2.The unit for resistivity is the ohm-metre.

3.The resistivity of a material depends on its nature and the temperature of the conductor, but not on its shape and size........
