The simple permanent tissues are the simple tissues. These are made of only one kind of cells.

  • As the cells that male up the tissues are the same they have the same structure and same type of parts.
  • These can be classified into three main types named as parenchyma, sclerenchyma and collenchyma.
  1. Parenchyma: The cells are living, and cell walls are thin. Cells are oval or round in shape.
  2. Collenchyma: These cells are living cells and cells are elongated in shape. The cell wall are thickened.
  3. Sclerenchyma: These cells are dead. The cell wall is very thick and they consists of lignin.
