Frequency is the speed of the vibration, and this determines the pitch of the sound. It is only useful or meaningful for musical sounds, where there is a strongly regular waveform.

the distance between successive crests of a wave, especially points in a sound wave or electromagnetic wave is called wavelength

The speed of sound is the distance travelled per unit time by a sound wave as it propagates through an elastic medium is called as velocity of sound

I hope this helps u

FREQUENCY

The number of complete waves or oscillation in one second is called frequency of wave i.e. number of vibration per second is called frequency. SI unit of frequency is Hertz.

WAVELENGTH

The minimum distance in which sound wave repeat itself is called its wavelengths.It is denoted with lambda.

Velocity

The distance travelled by a wave in one second is called velocity of the wave .

RELATION BETWEEN THEM

We know that,

Velocity = distance/time

Suppose a wave travels a distance lambda (which is its wavelength) in time T ,then,

Velocity = lambda /time

Here T is the time taken by one wave . We know that 1/T become the number of wave per second and this is known as frequency (f) of the wave . So , we can write F in place of 1/T in above relation .Thus ,

v = f × lambda

where,

v = velocity of the wave

f = frequency

lambda = wavelengths

IN OTHER WORDS

VELOCITY OF A WAVE = FREQUENCY × WAVELENGTH
