Define transportation and translocation in plants and name the tissues associated with it.
Answers
Hii dear here is ur answer
Translocation is the movement of materials from leaves to other tissues throughout the plant. Plants produce carbohydrates (sugars) in their leaves by photosynthesis, but nonphotosynthetic parts of the plant also require carbohydrates and other organic and nonorganic materials.
transportation in plants
_________________________
plants have living cells except phloem fibres
elements they are made of
___________________________
•Seive tubes- helps in conduction , it conducts food prepared during photosynthesis
•They are tubular cells with perforated walls
•Comapnion cells- regulates metabloic activities of seive tube elements
______________________________
•Products of photosynthesis is tranferred into plants by using energy from ATP
•Osmotic pressure increases
•Materials move from Phloem tissue (it is at higher osmotic pressure) with other tissue with lower pressure
•This leads to TRANSLOCATION
