Absorption:- The digestive food is taken by the circulatory stream and carried to the cells of the body . This process is called absorption. There are finger like projections called villy on the inner walls of the small intestine these villy increase the surface area of the inner walls for absorption of digestive food. Each villus has a network of blood vessels to absorb the nutrients in the digested food.
