Diffusion is the free movement of molecules of a substance(solute, solvent, gas or liquid) from the region of their higher concentration to the region of their lower concentration when the two are in direct contact..
Ex- Perfume can be smelt by us because it diffuses in the air which reaches our nose..
Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from their region of higher concentration(dilute solution) to their region of lower concentration(concentrated solution) through a semi-permeable membrane..
Ex- our cells have semi permeable membrane which only water molecules but not salt particles...so the salt particles move forth to reach the cell by osmosis

The above answer is absolutely correct . I want to say one point that diffusion is the movement of molecules from region of high concentration to low concentration whereas osmosis is movement from region of high concentration to low concentration through a semi permeable membrane .
