•Velocity is the total displacement of a body within an unit time.

•It is measured in m/s

•It is denoted by v

•Velocity is a vector quantity,both magnitude and direction

•Velocity=Displacement/Time

•There are two types of velocity:

1. Average velocity:

The total displacement of an object in total time is known as the Average velocity of that object

2. Instanteous Velocity:

The displacement of an object at that specific time interval,is known as instanteous velocity

Velocity= ∆x/∆t

Here,∆ is the change in the quantities
