Answer:

Chicken is the generic term for all Gallus gallus domesticus birds. There are many different breeds, some of which are specialized as egg layers and some of which have been bred to put meat on quickly so they can be killed and brought to market. A female chicken is a pullet, until she is a year old, at which point she becomes a hen. This is usually the point at which she begins laying eggs. Mature male chickens are called roosters.

Broilers, or chickens raised for meat, are normally killed at about six weeks, so they never live long enough to become hens. Factory farm egg layers reach their maximum egg laying capacity and then begin to slow down after a year or so. Once they pass their peak laying capacity, they are slaughtered and either used in processeds chicken products or sold as soup fowl. Because they are older and tougher than pullets, they actually make more flavorful soup.

Similarities between the hen and her chick:

By their physical appearance both are almost similar such as both have two legs, two eyes. Both feeds on small insects and grains for the survival. They both scratch the ground in search of food and insects. They both have same gene because chicks are born from hens and they share same blood. Numbers of bones in their body are also same. They both can make same type of noises.
