Density has a unit but relative density does not have any unit. Why? What is the correct formula for relative density?

Relative density has no unitbecause it is the ratio of same unitswhich gets cancelled. Answer: ...Relative density = Density of the substance/Density of water at 4°C. As both the numerator and the denominator on the RHS of the aboveformula has the same unit (i.e. kg/m3) they get cancelled
