l=square root of r^2+h^2
r=radius of the cone
h=height of the cone

We consider a right angled triangle formed in the cone to drive the formula for slant height of cone having slant height =l ; base=radius=r and height =h .
We get :
l= under root✓l^2+ r^2 units.
