Compounds like alcohol and glucose contain H but it doesn't dissociate into H^+. So it is not an acid.
Activity:
Take two blue litmus paper. Dip them into glucose solution and the alcohol. You will notice that there is no change in colour of the blue litmus paper. This shows that they are not acids.
If they were acids, then the blue litmus paper would have changed to red.
