the activity that shows that frictional force depends upon the nature of the surface, consider that u are pushing a box placed at rough surface,e.g, placed on road and another person is pushing the same box placed on the mirror,the person who is pushing box on the road will have to apply a large force than the person pushing the box which is placed on mirror.this shows that frictional force depends upon the nature of the surface,smooth surfaces have less friction whereas rough surfaces have more friction.
