Kingdom Monera includes most primitive, simplest, smallest and the most abundant microorganism. bacteria are the sole member of the kingdom they are occur almost everywhere 100 of bacteria are present in a handful soil they also live in extreme Habitat such as hot spring, desert, snow and the deep ocean we are very few other lyf forms can survive many of them live on other organism as parent.

some characters of Monera

a) they are unicellular colonial prokaryotic organism without nucleus membrane nucleolus and histone protein

b) lysosomes are of 70s type

c) membrane bounded cell organelle like mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum...etc are absent

d) some of bacteria are autotrophic but mostly they are heterotrophic

e) reproduction is asexual type
