When Gulliver entered the country of houyhnhnms, the creatures he first met were the Yahoos. He was frightened by them and was saved by two horses(houyhnhnms). They were talking in their own language about him and Gulliver tried to understand their conversation. He first learned the word Yahoo and then the word Houyhnhnms. He was taken to the house of them where he found other horses and some Yahoos. He was treated very nicely by the houyhnhnms and the master. He soon learned their language.
