Himalayas are formed when Indian plate collided Eurasian plate

process :
when India plate collided Eurasian plate , we know incoming plate goes into mantle and other plate forms chains of mountains

same happens here Indian plate went into mantle and the Eurasian plate formed chain of mountains

India is a part of Gondwana land. When it is separated from Gondwanaland it collide with angara land Himalayas were formed. The Indian plate goes into the mantle.so Himalayas were also called "folded mountains".
