Problems faced by Indian agriculture are:

  1. Population pressure on land due to huge population of India
  2. Lack of modernisation makes it monsoon dependent. Monsoon is a natural occurance thus it is unreliable and can lead to losses.
  3. Soil erosion and degradation by natural and man-made causes.
  4. Old traditional cultivation methods. Tools like hoe, dao etc.
  5. Other human factors like poverty, fragmented land, lack of security incase of accidents.
