Marshall McLuhan coined the term 'global village'. He was a Canadian media and communication theorist. He talked about a world which is interconnected by an electronic nervous system. According to him the advancement in technology has made it possible to share our culture instantaneously. So the culture has expanded and the world has shrunk into a global community.
