The main water divide in peninsular rivers formed from western ghats… which run from North to south close to the western coast…most of the major rivers of the peninsula such as mahandhi, godavari,krishna,Kaveri flow eastwards and drain in bay of Bengal

There are three major peninsular/deccan plateau rivers of India.They are as follows:
-Godavari river
-Krishna river
-Kaveri river (also called Cauvery river)
