symbiotic relationship is shown by lichen which is a combination of blue green algae( or cyanobacteria) and fungi . The algal component is known as phycobiant and fungal part is known as mycobiant . The algae contains chlorophyll so it produce food for itself as well as for fungi also and in return the fungi absorbs water and minerals from the substratum and gives to the algae for food production. This lichen is seen only in clean areas where no pollution is present .
Ex- Placopsis perrugosa
