Plasmodium Vivax is the malaria parasite which involves two hosts in its life cycle. While taking the blood meal, the female Anopheles mosquito which is infected by malaria injects the sporozoites into the human body. Sporozoites infect he cells of liver and gets mature to form schizonts, which then rupture to release the merozoites that live in the liver until any treatment is given and cause relapses by living in the bloodstream for weeks or even years. Merozoites infect red blood cells producing gametocytes that are again ingested by the mosquito.
