These deposits are now the fertile Northern Plains. Alluvium is soil or sediments deposited by a river or other running water.

when rivers flow from the mountains they contain some alluvial soil and then after coming on surface soil began to sit and this process continues till thousands of year and after silting too many soil ,river change its directions.
