Famine causes weight loss in adults and stunted growth in children. If the faminecontinues for any length of time, malnutrition starts to cause an increase in mortality. The young and the old tend to die first, and often diseases kill more individuals than overt starvation.

1)there will lack of food for the people , there will be scarcity for food because of which there will be malnutrition
2)people will lose their lives because of starvation etc and they will get many diseases
3)it will be a huge loss to the government as they should work towards the betterment of people who were effected by famine
