The strange incident noticed by people in Port Stowe was that fistfuls of money had been unbelievably flying about out of the tills of shops and inns. It had ended up in the pocket of a shady character of a tramp sitting on a bench on the outskirts of Port Stowe. The people did not realise immediately that they had seen money being stolen by the invisible man and dropped in Marvel's pocket for his own selfish use later. Marvel had come close to confiding in an old sailor about the truth of teh invisible man but Griffin had hit him hard as a warning against spilling the beans
