Ustad Bismillah Khan's journey as "shehnai vadak" has deep moral values such as dedication, simplicity and patriotism. It started at the young age of 3 and continued until the age of 90. The journey ranged from playing musical instruments in temples to international fame. Bismillah Khan, who came from a family of musicians, inherited his interest in Shehnai.
DOMESTIC ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Already at the age of three, he accompanied his maternal uncle Ali Bux to the Vishnu Temple in Benaras and learned a lot from him. When he began playing on Lucknow's All India Radio in 1938, he sang scripts such as the Bhojpuri chaita.
- His music was highly admired and was invited to perform at the historic moment of India's independence on August 15, 1947. In recognition of his talent, he was awarded the highest awards in India: Padma Bhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Bhushan.
