Thomson model of atom had following limitations
he don't know that what is the correct shape of atom
he cant explain the 3d modal of atom
he cant explain how electrons were embedded in the modal
he said that electrons static but electrons moves.
he cant explain anything abt nucleus

Thomson's model have many limitations.According to Thomson an atom consists of a sphere of positive charge with negatively charged electrons embedded in it. But according to Rutherford's gold foil experiment most of the space in the atom is empty . Thomson was unable to explain about this so his pudding model of an atom was insufficient to explain about an atom. Also it didn't have any experimental evidence.
