Why can't sound travel through vacuum

sound needs a medium for propagation.so it cant travel in vaccum

sound waves require a medium to travel which contains matter in it. Vacuum has no meadium and matter so sound waves cant propagate. sound propagates by producing vibrations as it is impossible to create vibrations in vaccuum which has no medium sound cannot travel through medium.
