TROPICAL RAIN FORESTS

  1. These type of forests are found in the rainier parts of country like upper parts of Assam, the island groups- Lakhswadeep and Andaman and Nicobar, Coasts of Tamilnadu and Odisha.
  2. These forests receive high amounts of rain and are wet and warm through  out the year.
  3. These forest shed their leaves at different times of the year so they remain green through the year. That's why they are known as "evergreen forests".
  4. The trees reach to 60 meters height or even above.
  5. The animals found here are One-horned rhinoceros, Tigers, Lions, deers, lemurs, monkeys and bats and various types of reptiles and lizards.

I hope this helps you! Happy New year!
