TROPICAL RAIN FORESTS
- These type of forests are found in the rainier parts of country like upper parts of Assam, the island groups- Lakhswadeep and Andaman and Nicobar, Coasts of Tamilnadu and Odisha.
- These forests receive high amounts of rain and are wet and warm through out the year.
- These forest shed their leaves at different times of the year so they remain green through the year. That's why they are known as "evergreen forests".
- The trees reach to 60 meters height or even above.
- The animals found here are One-horned rhinoceros, Tigers, Lions, deers, lemurs, monkeys and bats and various types of reptiles and lizards.
