the most amusing character in the novel three men in the boat is george as he is one of the lazy man and never gets serious . you can also see in the novel where he has done many laughter things with jerome klapka jerome. He is not a serious man and fond of drinking . He also brought a banjo in the boat trip and tried to play it . he also sometimes pretends to become clever though he is not . he is bank clerk .
