let smith have money =X
john has = x+50
smith takes 35 from john =(x+50)-35
john has left with money=x+15
smith has x+35
by the prblem
x+35=2(x+15)
x+35=2x+30
35-30=2x-x
x=5
∴john had 55
and smith had 5
john has = x+50
smith takes 35 from john =(x+50)-35

smith has x+35
