Describe the nature of coalition politics in India.

After election results are declared, if a single political party does not have more than half the seats won, to form the government, then two or more likeminded parties can join to form the government. A government formed this way is called coalition govt, in which the coalition parties may participate in ruling as ministers or remain to be silent partners and provide outside support.
