the Krebs Cycle) is actually a part of the much larger process called cellular respiration, the process where your body harvests energy from the food you eat. Yes, the citric acid cycle has the same citric acid found in oranges and other citrus fruits!
Where does the citric acid cycle fit into cellular respiration?
=>Glycolysis, where the simple sugar glucose is broken down, occurs in the cytosol.

Process and role of Citric acid cycle in living organisms:
Citric acid cycle is also called the Krebs cycle in living organisms. In this process the breakdown of the sugar is completed and the energy is produced as a form of ATP. The breakdown of the sugar started in the glycolysis process and ends in to citric acid cycle.
After the breaking of the glucose a pyruvate is produced and then it is changed into the acetyl coA in the mitochondria for the further process in citric acid cycle.
In this cycle acetyl CoA in mitochondria changed into the energy.
