Answer:

A pollen grain starts to grow if it lands on the stigma of a flower of the correct species. A pollen tube grows through the tissues of the flower until it reaches an ovule inside the ovary. The nucleus of the pollen grain (the male gamete) then passes along the pollen tube and joins with the nucleus of the ovule (the female gamete).

Fertilization in flowering plants happens through a process called pollination. Pollination occurs when pollen grains from the anther land on a stigma. ... Fertilization occurs when one of the sperm cells fuses with the egg inside of an ovule. After fertilization occurs, each ovule develops into a seed.

The process of fertilization involve a sperm fusion with an ovum . The sperm plasma then fuses with the eggs plasma membrane , triggering the sperms head to disconnect from its flegellum as the egg travels down the fallopian tube to reach the uterus .
