Resolution of non-cooperation movement got consent at National Meet Congress Session in Nagpur in 1920. Throughout this movement, it was decided to boycott British goods, schools, colleges, awards, Parliament elections,etc. British police fired at peaceful procession which was carried at Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, enraged people set the police station ablaze. One officer and 22 police men died. In this incident, after listening this news, Mahatma Gandhi was disappointed that he withdrew the Non-Cooperation movement in 1922.
