Hey there!
Accession of Stalin to power in 1920s bought an end to liberty but instead, lead to a period of government control, repression, mobilisation etc.
Some of the repressive measures taken by the stalin to establish a socialist state are
• In 1930s, agriculture and industry underwent centralisation.
• Stalin banned he fox trot, the tango and other ballroom dances
• Cultural activity of Russia was highly restricted.
• Farmers were forced to give off thier land and most intellegent scientists were sent to prison.
• Stalin officially framed a new constitution which officially recognised secret police which control militias, exercised censorship and build a forced labourship.
Glad if helped!
