Non cooperation movement- In 1919 , Brigadier general Reginald Dyer ordered to shoot the gathering at jallianwala bagh in Amritsar, Punjab. this received a strong criticism and protest from all over India, resulted in non cooperation movement which had seen unprecedented and large scale participation from the people of all religions and status.
Quit India movement- as the world war 2 progressed Mahatma Gandhi intensified his protests for complete independence in India. The "quit India movement" or the" Bharat chodo aandolan" called by Gandhi ji in 1942,was held in Aga Khan Palace in Pune
