which occurred at green horn mountain was in the early hours of the 3rd september 1779.

Initially , the Spanish troops led by Don Juan Bautista De Anza moved towards the territory of Comanche forces led by Cuerno Verde.

The Comanche forces were just about 50 people while the Spanish troops were around 600 people. During the battle , the Spanish troops under the command of De Anza tactically isolated Cuerno Verde , of which he was eventually surrounded and finally killed along with his first son.
