This means when we remove forests the rain falling  in that place also reduces. This makes  the soil infertile and slowly in abut only 200 years, the land turns to desert. Do you know that before a river used to run throught the Thar Desert of India 2000 years ago. in a storm an entire forest got deforstated as the soil was loose in that region. Now Thar area has become That Desert
