p(x) = x³ - x² - x + 1
=> p(x) = x²(x+1) - 2x (x+1) +1(x+1)
=> p(x) = (x+1)(x²-2x+1)
So, we can see that p(x) has a factor (x+1).

Hope this will help. Thank you and if you like my answer then plz mark me as brainliest...

Answer:

(x+1)as  \: a  \: factor \\ x + 1 = 0 \\ x =  - 1 \\  {x}^{3}  -  {x}^{2}  - x + 1 = 0 \\  {( - 1)}^{3}  -  {( - 1)}^{2}  - ( - 1) + 1 = 0 \\  - 1 - 1 + 1 + 1  = 0\\  - 2 + 2 = 0 \\ it \: satisfy \:  \: ... \\ so \: (x+1)as \:  a \:  factor
