One day, my friend Kunal and I were playing in the backyard of house. At once we heard painful cry of birds from the nearby forest area next to my house. Intrigued and curious, we went to investigate what the problem was.
Once inside the forested area, we saw that a group of birds were flocking around a particular area, some flying while some were looking from the trees. We then found that numerous birds were caught in the net most probably set up by hunters. We immediately worked on cutting the nets loose before the birds get more injured. After almost an hour of struggling with the ropes, we managed to free the birds, though they were unable to fly off immediately.
When we were sure that all of them have escaped and flown off, we went back home and told my parents about the ordeal. My father praised us for doing the right thing, and also told us to be more careful the next time. It felt good to do something good, even if it's for birds and not humans.
